Unlocked 16GB iPhones $799 via Buy.com

After you buy it, get a 3g sim card from a Gophone from AT&T, then you will have a pre paid iPhone. Go buy it

Apple iPhones have typically been locked to only use on the AT&T network, so they are not capable of being used on other GSM carriers such as T-Mobile or for overseas travel.
Hackers were able to break the software to use the iPhone on carriers other than AT&T, but any connection to iTunes or any software updates provided by Apple lock the iPhone and render it useless.

Now the iPhone is available without any locks or restrictions to any GSM carrier.

Also, the Apple guarantee is valid for all never-locked iPhones.

You are now able to:

- Connect the iPhone to iTunes
- Update the iPhone software when the updates are available from Apple
- Purchase apps from the iTunes library or the Apps store on the iPhone
- Use AT&T or T-Mobile in the USA Or one of the 30 different GSM carriers all over the US.
- Use with any GSM carriers globally Introducing iPhone 3G. With fast 3G wireless technology, GPS mapping, support for enterprise features like Microsoft Exchange, and the new App Store, iPhone 3G puts even more features at your fingertips. And like the original iPhone, it combines three products in one a revolutionary phone, a widescreen iPod, and a breakthrough Internet device with rich HTML email and a desktop-class web browser. iPhone 3G. It redefines what a mobile phone can do again.

[ SCREENIE ] Video Recording in 3.0

Could this be true? Apple implementing a recoding software to the iphone. Jailbreakers have been doing this for over a year. Check it out. Its Called Screenie.

One of our trusty ninjas just blessed us with some exclusive iPhone 3.0 shots. Things like detailing a video recording application, more settings options, an accessibility entry, and even showing that Apple could possibly be integrating voice dialing, too. Hit the break for the rest of the snappies!

UPDATE: Our ninja hit us up to add some following goodies:

The final 3.0 firmware is said to support OpenGL ES v2.0.
There are various references to “ChinaBrick” in some of the 3.0 beta firmwares. Could this a reference to a Chinese-specific iPhone with no 3G and no Wi-Fi? It would be pretty comical if it was…
We’re also told that there’s a very, very strong possibility video recording will be specifically for the new hardware iPhone and not backwards compatible with the iPhone 3G. Not something entirely new, just more strikes against current users getting some video love, though!

Itchy update fingers

The new Iphone 3.0 OS already jail breakable.

"With all of the great stuff lined up for us with the 3.0 OS that Apple described today, many 3G owners may find themselves with itchy update fingers. If you find yourself with access to the 3G IPSW for 3.0 via the iPhone Dev Center program, and you are using yellowsn0w, do not update or restore to that official IPSW. You will lose yellowsn0w and find yourself unable to revert the baseband to get it back.

And for those wondering, yes the 3.0 OS is jailbreakable on all devices. It’s just those using 3G yellowsn0w that have to show some restraint and wait for PwnageTool to create a custom IPSW that avoids the baseband update."

iPhone for $99

AT&T is offering the 8GB iPhone 3G (black) for $99. The 16GB model is available in black or white for $199. That's a savings of $100 on both models.

As before, you have to sign up for a two-year contract, and you get a warranty of "at least 90 days"--which I suspect means 90 days. (AT&T's site doesn't seem to have any specifics on the warranty--anybody know the deets?).

Of course, the price tag of the phone itself isn't what stops most people--it's the monthly nut. The bare-minimum service and data plans will run you $70 per month (plus another few bucks in taxes and fees).

With the NXE as inspiration, the 1337pwn.com team has
brought the excitement of the new XBOX 360 user interface to iPhone/iPod touch.

China, Japan, Australia, etc. 70 countries total.
  • 11:45 am
Now on to the final challenge -- affordability. Started at $599 for an 8GB iPhone, now $399. The iPhone 3G 8GB will sell for... $199.

GPS Announced

"Location services is going to be a really big deal on the iPhone -- you saw a bit of that here today, it's going to explode. We get location from celltowers, from WiFi, and now we get it from GPS." So that's A-GPS. "We can actually do tracking."

Oh that sounds good.

Badge Theme

A long awaited theme was just released and it looks amazing. Check it out:

Quote from TheAppleTree

When I started the preview thread for this theme nearly 4 months ago.. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. My goal was to complete my very first, fully skinned theme. Of course, I had no idea what an Other.artwork file even was when I made that statement. Now here we are, nearly four months later... and I can honestly say that I've put my heart and soul into this one. I've logged literally hundreds of hours on this project. Lots of tears and curses of frustration have gone into this - and I'm very proud of what I'm giving to the community today.

Here is a summary of what Badge includes:
- 10 keyboards (Only for 1.1.3/4)
- 10 Other.artwork files (Only for 1.1.3/4)
- 34 Summerboard themes, each with icon support for 311 separate applications
- 10 iSolitaire themes (Note, I re-did every single card in the deck, in my own style )
- 10 Music player themes, each with two choices for music player bottom bar
- 10 Categories icon sets with 22 icons each
- Safari skin including webmasks
- Startup and restore screens for winpwn
- 10 night&day Weather backgrounds
- 22 Battery skins
- 10 Calendar skins
- 10 Calculator skins
- 10 unlock bottom bars, power bars, slide to unlocks, slide to power off, and tap to unlock bars
- A multitude of wallpapers - selected to go well with each color variation (Gleaned from Deviantart)

The 10 variations you keep seeing there is because there are 10 primary colors that I am releasing Badge in: Black, White, Slate, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, and Purple
Here is a screenshot of Badge Black to give you an idea:

I've included a full list of apps that are supported as a txt attached to this post. There is also a full installation guide which I put together with a lot of help from Downtrodn (Thanks so much!). Most of you will probably want to use Customize 2.0 for this eventually, but unfortunately their site is having trouble uploading my archives at the moment. This is why I only have screenshots for one color at the moment. As soon as my other themes get populated, I'll add those in there too. I suggest checking out the preview thread if you're interested. You can't miss it

There's more to say... but you guys just want the goods for now I'll update with more goodies and information in just a bit. Without further ado, here is the download link! It will take you straight to a folder where you'll pick the color(s) of your choice.
