LittleBigPlanet PSP to Feature Creation, Interoperability With PS3

Check out this article. It seems the the psp version of "LittleBigPlanet" will interact with the PS3 version. I dont have it for the ps3 anyway.

The recently announced Playstation Portable version of LittleBigPlanet is being developed by with help by Media Molecule and will likely be able to connect in someway with the Playstation 3 version.

The PSP's LittleBigPlanet will also tap into the three tenets of the original title: Playing, creating and sharing, John Koller, director of hardware marketing for Sony Computer Entertainment of America, told Kotaku in a recent interview.

"There is a whole play, create, share component to the game, just like the PS3," he said. "They are still working on that, so there's not a whole lot to talk about yet."

Koller added that the developers were also looking at ways for the PSP version to connect with the PS3 version, perhaps to share levels, though he said no decision had been made yet.

Koller said that the decision to bring LittleBigPlanet to the Playstation Portable was driven in part by Sony's desire to expand the casual market for their portable.

Announced at Destination Playstation earlier this week along with a slew of other top-tier titles, LittleBigPlanet PSP likely isn't the biggest title heading to the platform this year, he said.

"At Destination Playstation we announced about half of the line up for the PSP this year, some fairly major, triple-A titles are coming for the back half of the year that are going to be announced in the coming months and at E3."

"LittleBigPlanet is going to be one of the top three but a number of others that are coming are just as big."

Update: Koller initially told us that Media Molecule was developing LittleBigPlanet for the PSP, but we've since clarified that it is being made with their input.

More Halo On The Way?

More halo too come? I hope so.

Halo Wars now, Orbital Drop Shock Trooper in November, and the Halo experience it seems shows no signs of letting any steam off. A plethora of job postings at our beloved Gamasutra tell many Halo fans that Microsoft is currently looking out for lead Designer(s), executive producer(s), lead environment artist(s), technical art director(s), senior concept artist(s) , animation director(s) for their upcoming unannounced Halo game. The postings also confirm a new team dedicated to the Halo universe grinding the cogs to fit in the legacy left by Bungie which now moves onto different projects. The advertisements squeal a number of changes that players might encounter, since they niftily boast of “breath(ing) a fresh vision into a new Halo experience” which aims to “drive the future of Halo.”

Since this will be a freshly coined studio at work, the question that remains poised in our minds is whether they shall actually release the next Halo project on the 360, in the view of the fact of rumors of Gearbox Studios being already hard at work building up an experience that is based on one of the most successful first person shooter franchises which somehow also translates into the world of Halo.

So guys if you think you fit the mark send in your resumes and give us an addition to the deadly and menacing Halo franchise.

Rock Band, Assassin's Creed, and MotorStorm Come To PSP

Oh yeah, Rock Band.

LittleBigPlanet isn't the only console franchise coming to the PlayStation Portable. Just announced at the Destination PlayStation retail conference: Handheld versions of Rock Band, Assassin's Creed, and MotorStorm!

Here's what we know about each:

Rock Band Unplugged will sport an in-game music store and will reportedly feature music from Blink 182, Boston, AFI, Kansas, Lit, and The Police. There won't be a separate peripheral; you'll hit the notes with the left, up, triangle, and circle buttons. Player can switch between guitar, drums, bass, and “vocals” (although there won't be be singing, merely tapping buttons) using the L and R shoulder buttons.

MotorStorm Arctic Edge will bring MotorStorm to the "breathtaking yet lethal and unpredictable setting of Alaska." It was developed by Bigbig Studios. It's scheduled for release in this fall for the PSP and the PS2.

Assassin's Creed was developed by Ubisoft and will come bundled with a Piano Black PSP. It comes out later this year.

'LittleBigPlanet' Coming To The PSP

Oh yes, another reason I can get my psp out of storage.

Adorable PlayStation 3 platformer LittleBigPlanet is getting even smaller. A PSP version of the game is coming this fall! The portable Planet is being developed "in conjunction" with Media Molecule and will reportedly offer a similar experience to the PS3 version, including the ability to create and share user-made content on the go.

The PSP version of the game will feature lots of new PSP-exclusive content. No other details have been revealed yet, but when they are, we'll tell you all about it.

Was There More Options for Little Big Planet?

Check this out. I would of thought the shotgun and the foam would of done well.

During a talk about his studio’s critical hit “LittleBigPlanet,” Media Molecule
co-founder Alex Evans described an earlier version of the game that had
“physical tools” -

1) A shotgun that blew holes in things,

2) A hairdryer that melted stuff, and

3) A gun that sprayed foam.

Problem: “It was great fun but all you could do was create melting piles of s–t.” So they dropped the
tools, built the content editors and focused the gameplay on pushing, pulling and jumping.

GTA: Chinatown Wars Has Sex?

Yes its true, but I still wont be buying it.

As noted in Blend Games' preview of GTA: Chinatown Wars, the upcoming GTA game for the DS is staying true to the series' roots. Even though the DS is generally known for its family-friendly content, Chinatown Wars will have its share of sexual content

Here's an excerpt from the ESRB's summary of the game: " The game also contains sexual references (e.g., discussions of multiple partners, homosexual activity, prostitution, pornography, etc.) and brief instances of sexual activity. Although sexual acts are not graphically depicted, there are sequences in which cars rock back and forth while female moaning is heard."

Considering the characters are all tiny blotches of pixels, it probably would've been thoroughly unarousing had they actually been shown doing the deed. Moaning, though? Better wear headphones if you're playing this game on the bus. The game has an "M" rating and is set to be released on March 17th.

InfinityWard puts out Twitter app

The guys over at infintyward has put up there own special twitter page where you can see a live feed of replies to the questions they ask.

check it out. Click Here

Developer Infinity Ward has been doing more and more to connect to the ever growing Call of Duty gamer community. This week the creators of the shooter franchise launched their own Twitter site. Ah, but it's not just your normal Twitter page. This site is letting anyone with access to Twitter give their suggestions to the development team,

Currently the site is asking folks to "Name one thing you'd like to see in Modern Warfare 2" which is yet another official (but still unofficial) declaration that the team is indeed working on the sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Not only can you give your suggestions to the Twitter live feed but you can track and vote on other people's posts as well. There's even a leaderboard where you can see which users are highest in the voting. Will this new community outreach be a help to Infinity Ward? Who knows..but it's still pretty cool.
